The Football Foundation’s Facilities scheme gives schools grants for
projects that improve their facilities for football and other sports and
sustain or increase participation in sport amongst children and adults in
the local community.
Funding is granted for facilities such as grass pitches, pavilions,
clubhouses and changing rooms, artificial turf pitches, multi-use games
areas and fixed floodlights. The maximum grant available for each project
is £1m, and applicants must demonstrate that they have tried to get
funding elsewhere and that there is no further funding available.
The Football Foundation also provides development funding in certain
circumstances to enable schools to deliver coaching and football
development associated with the new facility. To find out more visit www.
