LIBRA
I rounded off my trip by paying a visit to gay friendly nightclub
Johan Hogfeldt of Audio
Libra, located on the waters edge in the town of Slussen,
World & Supersonic
Stockholm. The actual building itself has a long history and is quite
and Libra owner
Bernhardsson Kent
unique in its appearance. It is a circular building, which has three
underneath the Master
floors, and can hold up to 800 people. On the middle floor there Audio MA-206 line array
are port-holes similar to what you would find on a ship, looking
out across the water.
Unfortunately, the council are going to tear the building down in
a few years time, but before that happens, owner Bernhardsson
Kent has made sure there will be many a fun time, by transforming
the place into a house and electro nightclub early in 2009.
Bernhardsson has been in the clubbing ownership business for six
years, so when he purchased Libra in January 2009 he already had
ideas in mind for the re-design. The whole place was renovated
in just two months, and the venue was back open for business
on 7 March 2009. He’d worked with Audio World on previous
occasions and so had no hesitation on working with owners Johan
and Pauline Hogfeldt again and asking them to supply and install
a top of the range sound system. They selected Master Audio
as this is one of the brands they deal with in their distribution
company Supersonic, which is now 11 years old.
Johan said: “Master Audio gives really really good sound, almost
every house DJ wants to play here at Libra because of the crystal
clear sound – we’re more than 100% satisfied with the results.”
Johan and his team installed Master Audio MA-206 line arrays to TECHNICAL INFORMATION
cater for when Libra turns into a live music venue, which usually
takes place at least once a month, and to accompany the line
