Using ring network topology SANE claims to offer the first fully-synchronous CAT5 network solution for streaming uninterrupted
media in real time. This low cost and high efficiency system, based on the sophisticated and well-proven Optocore technology,
has evolved from the German company’s flexible new AD/DA X6R and V3R converters launched earlier this year; these offer
split AES-EBU ports, sample rate conversion up to 192kHz, and five different card options. SANE offers a unique solution, and
transports recognised open standards such as AES / EBU, MADI and Ethernet in full size. This provides huge flexibility and
cost benefits for customers and other manufacturers at the highest level of fixed installations since it offers a choice between
X6R-FX / V3R-FX fibre versions, containing both Optocore ports (for fibre), SANE ports (CAT5 / RJ45) and X6R-TP / V3R-TP
(CAT5 twisted pair alternatives). The new patented SANE ring network system offers synchronous and redundant transport of
audio and Ethernet; 64-channels of digital audio with 24 nodes per network; Ultra low latency of just 41.6µs and ultra low jitter
Word Clock distribution, and 100 metres distance from point to point. In short, this scalable system architecture enhances the
potential and flexibility of fibre within a compact form factor and with no necessity for third party network hardware.

unprecedented power, speed, and versatility, Q-Sys can easily meet the needs of applications ranging from the largest
imaginable to those much smaller in scope and allotted budget. Using premium converters and Gigabit Ethernet, the
fundamental Q-Sys architecture produces a total system latency of less than 2.5 milliseconds between any input and output,

TOA NX-100 Series Network Audio is a reliable and easy to use solution for transporting mic or line-level audio signals over
IP-based local and wide area networks (LAN / WAN), as well as the Internet. Applications include wide area paging, talking
cameras, background music or messaging audio distribution for airports, convention centers, railway stations and transit
systems. The flagship model NX-100 transports variable bandwidth, bi-directional audio, up to 14kHz, as well as serial RS-
232 and contact closure data. Each half-rack sized unit includes a balanced mic/line input and output and a 10/100BaseT
Ethernet jack for connection to standard network hardware. The rear panel includes eight programmable trigger inputs to
initiate and terminate audio transmissions, eight programmable open collector control outputs and an RS-232 serial port for
data transmission/reception. The NX-100 also has a built-in web server to support browser-based programming, control and
monitoring from any network-connected PC. Other features include multiple error correction modes, external 24 VDC input,
and Flash-upgradeable firmware. The new streamlined NX-100S includes all of the same features as the NX-100 minus the
RS-232 transport and external 24 VDC capabilities. Enhancements include front panel signal and peak LEDs plus phantom
power for condenser microphones.
