Happy New Year! We hope you enjoyed a festive New Year's celebration with your
family and friends. It seems so long ago now, but with all the snow recently it has
taken many of us a lot longer to get back into the swing of things, but we are raring
to go, so look out 2010 !!!
As we start off in this new decade, are you excited about the future or do you dread
a repeat of 2009? Christine tells us that 2010 is going to be a fabulous year, full of
drama, intensity and unpredictability. Maybe it’s time to break free, tap into your
passion, and live life to the full enjoying every moment.
Women are now the most important target audience on earth. We knew that ~ didn’t
we? Figures published recently by The Economist suggest that women in the West
are now responsible for almost 80% of purchase decisions. Even when it comes to
choosing traditional boys’ toys like cars and electronics, women are fast becoming
the dominant purchase-makers, and many of the most substantial areas of business
growth are those driven by us girls.
As an entrepreneur you should also be constantly learning new skills. There’s lots of
low cost or free training out there. Take a look at the Bracknell & Berkshire
Business Expo on p16 and ‘The Social Revolution’ workshop on p27.
