REDHEADS
Light & Warm ~ (examples: Julianne Mo ore, Nicole Kidman, Lily Cole, Anne Robinson)
Indicated by a pale skin and a cold grey blue eye but a natural copper undertone in (an overall)
fair natural base colour..
Blonde bases suit – but must be copper toned, the hair colour should be soft but vibrant.
As long as the Light and Warm remains a warm, the level of base can range from lightest golden blonde
to bright copper red.
AVOID – cool tones such as platinum, ash and grey at all costs and steer clear of brown shades which
will look dull against the complexion.
REDHEADS
Deep & Warm ~ (examples: Julia Roberts, Debra Messing, Isla Fisher, Susan Sarandon)
Indicated by a deep brown or topaz eye with warm brunette hair and a slightly ruddy skin tone .
A rich deep warm brown base works fantastically with lots of glossy red overtones and lowlights.
Although a true redhead, the Deep and Warm can also carry off deeper velvety and softer dark golden
blonde shades.
AVOID – flat cool browns, grey tones and cool blondes. Traditional blonde highlights do not look great
on the deep warm.
BLONDES
Warm & Light ~ ((examples: Kate Winslet, Kylie Minogue, Brittney Spears, Goldie Hawn)
Indicated by A deep grey (almost green) or turquoise blue eye and a rosy undertone to the skin.
Rich golden blonde highlights look outstanding, especially against a warm blonde base colour.
Although blonde by default they can carry off soft ‘redhead’ shades such as copper.
AVOID ash blondes, grey tones and deep heavy base colours such as browns and mahoganies.
BLONDES
Cool & Light ~ (examples: Emma Buntin, Elle McPherson, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helen Mirren)
Indicated by a bright cool blue or grey eye with pale under toned skin and naturally fair hair.
Light platinum blonde highlights will suit, with a soft and lifted base colour.
Can get away with very (block) blonde hair and even grey tones.
AVOID - excessive warm and golden tones in the hair and deep heavy base colours.
