Reptile House visit to the
Erskine veterans
Veterans of the charity Erskine got up close and personal
with snakes, skinks, geckos and tarantulas with a visit
from the scaly and hairy residents of Glasgow City Councils
Queens Park Reptile House.
The visit led by Stephen Gilbride and Chris Hannah proved
to be a big success. Many of the veterans gathered
to welcome a posse of the cold-blooded visitor and a
testament to the success of the afternoon was that not
one resident shouted ‘Get me out of here!’
The visiting party included blue tongue skinks,
leopard geckos, Chilean rose tarantulas and grey
rat snakes. The veterans enjoyed a stimulating and
informative afternoon handling the creatures and
learning about their habits. Thankfully none of the
visitors wanted a tour of the building!
