also playing spot the person. Reliving the outing certainly brightened up
the evening for a number of those present.
The fi nal series of photographs had been taken by Adrian at the Annual
Flower Show. It was good to be reminded that all the hard work put
in by members, and other gardeners, can produce some fabulous fruit,
vegetables and fl owers. It stimulated a good deal of talk on what to grow
this year and what would make a good display for judging (once we had
had the pleasure of it in the garden).
With the photographs over, tea/coffee and biscuits were available
and more chat in our usual casual end to a meeting. From the level
of discussion during the presentations and the general chat over
refreshments, the night was well received and successful, despite the
inclement conditions.
The next evening meeting will take place on February 11th in the Royal
British Legion Social Club. The topic for the evening is Compost and we
look forward to hearing Julie Kirkpatrick provide sound advice for getting
the best from our recycling efforts. We would be pleased to welcome
non-members, so feel free to come along.
