Kilmacolm Camera Club
Snow, or no snow, Club activities continue with a varied selection of
evening entertainments. We enjoyed a fascinating talk by Duncan
McDonald from Kilbarchan, in which he showed us a selection of excellent
images taken at various festivals around the UK.
We were also treated to an enjoyable talk from John Coyle, of Penilee,
about his experiences as a wedding photographer. Not only did we learn
of the intricate organisation behind each wedding day, we enjoyed some
extremely amusing stories about those weddings which, perhaps, didn’t
run like well-oiled machines (partly due to well-oiled guests?).
Our fi nal meeting before the Christmas break was, as always, a light-
Kilbarchan hearted, wine-enhanced, social evening. Members enjoyed an informal
photo quiz and a talk by David Walker on his photographic
Camera Club interpretation of “Humour”. Dougie Hendry also shared with us
some of his experiences as a camera club judge.
