Strathclyde Fire & Rescue
Handbell Ringers
Strathclyde Fire & Rescue Handbell Ringers group has been growing from
strength to strength in their first year, with 14 members ranging from
primary to secondary school. In October, they played “Happy birthday”
which they had taught themselves as a surprise for their Musical Director,
Elspeth Chalmers, 18th birthday. Kilbarchan Primary School invited the
ringers to play at the school’s
two Christmas concerts, which
were both enjoyed by parents
and pupils.
The group throughout the year
played at various care homes;
Ranfurly & Cochrane Johnstone
and Marcus Humphries Quarriers.
Unfortunately due to the snow, Renfrewshire
the two concerts at Campbell
