York Times, 26-year-old Lang Lang has played sold out recitals and concerts
in every major city in the world and is the fi rst Chinese pianist to be engaged
by the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic and the top American
orchestras. In August 2008 he performed to an audience of 5 billion at the
opening ceremony for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad.
In February last year he also performed at the 50th Grammy Awards which
broadcast live to 45 million viewers worldwide. The National Concert Hall
is delighted to welcome back this exceptionally gifted pianist after his sold
out concert in 2008 to thrill Irish audiences once more with his virtuosic and
engaging performance.
