The Sun Rises on the West Orange County! Cirque de Soleil presents Kooza—”An adrenaline rush of acrobat-
ics in a zany kingdom.”
Cirque de Soleil Presents
Kooza
Returning to the sacred roots of Cirque du Soleil, Kooza’s acrobatics remind the
audience of the physical demands placed on the human body when balancing its

power with its fragility. Part interpretive dance...part clowny slapstick...all amaz-
ing. Kooza introduces us to “The Innocent”—a lonely soul looking for a place to fit
in. On The Innocent’s journey, he comes into the graces of many splendidly comi-
cal characters like the King, the Trickster, the mysteriously mechanical Heimloss,
the Pickpocket and the Obnoxious Tourist with his Bad Dog.
The masters on stage not only know how to evoke laughter and smiles while
juggling adversity and peace. The Kooza clan also manages to seamlessly weave
in familiar themes such as vulnerability, identity, acceptance and realization of
one’s potential. The final product is an surprising and startlingly beatuiful display
of inspiration, both of the human body and of the things it can accomplish.
Kooza opens in Irvine on January 8 under the Grand Chapiteau at Orange
County Great Park. Performances in Orange County continue until January 31.
Then the troupe moves to San Diego on February 25. For information on future
dates and other shows, join the Cirque Club to receive the most recent informa-
tion on everything regarding the world of Cirque du Soleil—for free.
