Carole French has been spending much of the summer focusing on the Greek
Islands, along with Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Istanbul, Frankfurt, Cairo and her home
island of Cyprus. She also has a new website (www.carolefrench.com) and

Carole is currently putting the finishing touches to two new projects for
Dorling Kindersley – DK Top 10 Greek Islands and DK Top 10 Corfu and the
Ionians. Carole has been visiting the Greek Islands for years and is especially

proud of these two new works. “It is one of my favourite parts of the world,”
says Carole, who speaks Greek. She has masses of information gathered from
her research and photographic trips to the islands and would be happy to
assist if they are on your publishing schedule.

Carole, who is based in Paphos, has completed a number of projects on Cyprus
this summer too, including the update of several mainstream guidebooks to the
island. New attractions have been launched, including open-top sightseeing
buses – a first for the island. If you need articles or books on Cyprus written or

up-to-the-minute information on Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Egypt, Frankfurt and
Istanbul.
Coming up are trips to four of her favourite places - Morocco for National
Geographic, Jordan and Italy on research trips and the eclectic reggae island
of Jamaica. One of her travelling companions, a Jamaican, will take her inland
from Kingston through plantations to his childhood home. The result should
be fabulous material and photography for articles and books.
Carole is accepting commissions for travel articles or books on any of these destinations, plus
other cities and countries she knows well. Along with holiday hotspots and cities, Carole also
writes on real estate, business and wedding destinations. Her clients include Northstar Media,
Time Out, Michelin, New Holland and Frommer’s, and magazines including ABTA, Business Life
(British Airways inflight club class magazine), Thomson’s Fly, b.there for Brussels Airlines, Homes
Overseas, Your Overseas Property and easyJet Inflight – to name just a few!
