Burns Night Tribute
at the Royal
Highland Hotel
E
xperience the warm Highland Hospitality at Royal Highland
Hotel, Station Square, Inverness, centrally located and ideal
for Eastgate Shopping Centre and adjacent to the Railway
Station.
For over 151 years, the hotel has been looking after travellers
from all over the world. Perhaps its popularity stems from the fact
the hotel is a grand place to stay. Large bedrooms, large lounge
areas, quiet meeting rooms, good food, prime location and
friendly staff all play their part. All local amenities are close to
hand, but within a 5 minute drive you are out into the dramatic
Highlands. Loch Ness is only 7 miles from the hotel!
Once again the Royal Highland Hotel will be hosting their
Annual Burns Supper on Friday 22nd January 2010.
Billed as one of the premier events in Inverness, the hotel’s
Burns’ Night celebrations will be chaired by Raymond Blacklaw,
who has represented the Bard on CBS Radio’s syndicated “Book
Beat” programme, well known local businessman Willie Cameron
will address the “Immortal Memory” and violinist Les Currie and
piper will also provide live music before the celebrations close
with a ceilidh.
Need a winter break?
T
here are few things more appealing to us than getting away
from the cold and rain at this time of year and heading off for
sunnier climes. However, the reality is that this is one of the
busiest periods and few can afford the time to get away in the
run up to Christmas. So what if you could have a little holiday
everyday – at home?
Stepping across the garden to a private space can really lift
the spirits, especially if that space is always warm, comfortable
and, above all, flooded with what little light there is at this time of
year. Having your own garden room that you can escape to (or
others can be sent to?) could be the ideal solution and
separates you from your everyday domestic life.
Whether you simply want a personal space or full guest
accommodation with en suite, The Garden Lodge Company
can provide you with an attractive alternative to a house
extension. Designed and built here in Scotland the lodges can
be erected in about six weeks and usually avoid the need for
planning permission.
Imagine being able to escape to peace and tranquility
and from that terrible teenager’s party. So why not go online,
take a look at their website and if you like what you see give
them a call.
