Senator Hassan Honored for Service to Veterans
submitted by Paul Moore
On November 24, State of New Hampshire Senate majority leader, Margaret “Maggie” Hassan,
was presented with an American Flag and State of New Hampshire Flag fl own in Afghanistan
by members of the New Hampshire National Guard in recognition of her service on behalf of
veterans throughout the State of New Hampshire, and for her support of and participation in
MooreMart’s care package drives. The Flags were presented to Senator Hassan by MooreMart co-
founder, Honorable Paul S. Moore, and American Legion Post 32 Commander Mark Grimshaw.
Paul Moore, in presenting the Flags to Senator Hassan, recognized her devotion to our veterans
in her role as the chairwoman of the Veteran’s Employment Commission and State’s Veteran’s
Advisory Committee. He commented on Senator Hassan’s participation in MooreMart’s efforts to
support our troops by sending care packages to members of the armed services serving overseas
and her mobilization of the New Hampshire State Senate during MooreMart’s November 21
packing event. He also commented on “Senator Hassan’s tireless effort on behalf of veterans’
causes, and how ‘Maggie’ is a shining example of our state government’s commitment to our
servicemen and women.”
