The Black American West Museum’s, “We Tell It Like
It Was…”mission is to interpret, display, exhibit, and
preserve historical artifacts and documents of African
American men, women and children who ventured west
as mountain men, miners, cowboys, pioneers,
homesteaders and entrepreneurs. Housed in Dr. Justina
Ford’s former medical office and home.

Denver Firefighters Museum
The Denver Firefighters Museum offers outstanding
exhibits on the history of firefighting in Denver focusing

Denver Museum of Miniatures,
Dolls and Toys
The Museum houses a collection of over 14,000 pieces
from the 1700’s to present day. Permanent exhibits
include large artisan and antique dollhouses, cars, trains,
teddy bears, Southwest and Native American exhibits, and
a Japanese Friendship Doll. Temporary exhibits change
quarterly to highlight fun themes and special collections.
