LUNCH
smoked salmon and dill pate also comes recommended - very
smoky and authentic with a slight zesty kick, you can add a
mug of soup for an additional £2.45. Those with a sweet tooth
should have the melt-in-your-mouth homemade meringue and
vanilla ice cream, £4.95, or try the cooked cream with plum and
cinnamon compote, £4.95 – essentially a Pannacotta but to
Carina Contini’s own secret recipe - superb.
The Scottish Cafe & Restaurant offers soft jazz music, low
lighting and friendly, informed and well presented staff. There
is a great hustle and bustle to the venue and some of the best
views in town. Great for breakfast, a cheese platter and wine, a
traditional Afternoon Tea or classic Scottish favourite, High Tea,
with battered fish of the day, minted fresh peas and fresh cut
chips (served from 3pm to 6pm every day).
