T
he pairing of Ebel and Gisele Bündchen in 2006, and the subsequent
advertising imagery, may not have single handedly breathed new life into
the luxury watch market but it undoubtedly has helped, particularly among
young, female consumers.
Ebel chose Gisele for her fresh, spontaneous approach to life, which the watchmaker
believed spoke directly to a new generation of luxury watch consumers. It proved a
shrewd move with Ebel recognising earlier than most that women were investing their
own cash in quality timepieces.

the Brazilian born model’s wrist being the now iconic Brasilia, a trailbrazer in the trend
of ‘bigger’ watches for women. The fact Gisele wears the watch off camera too only
adds to its appeal.
Meloosha
For Ebel’s latest campaign Gisele has joined forces with fashion photographer Craig
McDean, and the result is one of the most sensual ad campaigns of the year. Ebel,
again, tapping in early to the trend of natural femininity which looks set to fully
surface in 2010. The new campaign has succeeded in being timeless, bold and yet

the new Beluga Tonneau, allowed to shine. Quite a feat for a print ad.
