MY I-ON EDINBURGH
The city’s downfall: Princes Street. It should be the most
beautiful promenade in Europe but is currently lacking,
especially with the tram works.
Which area of Edinburgh best reflects your personality?
I love the bohemian, artistic shabby-chic of Stockbridge/
Canonmills.
The street you’d most like to live on: Saxe-Coburg Place.
The city’s best kept secret: Water of Leith walkway.
Your earliest memory of Edinburgh: Standing on the castle
esplanade in freezing winter.
Where would you take visitors to show them the real
Edinburgh? A pint on The Shore then Arthur’s Seat or Calton
Hill for a view of the city.
A quick escape: The East Lothian coast with its fabulous
beaches, especially Seacliff and Tyninghame Beach.
Best view of the city: From the top of Inverleith Park to the
city’s skyline, with the reflections from Inverleith Pond in the
foreground is hard to beat.
If you could change one thing about the city: more child
friendly cafes/restaurants with children’s menus
