Beauty Therapy Hairdressing
NVQ Level 2 An essential qualification for the junior stylist, includes cutting, colouring, perming and customer care. ATTENDANCE: 1 year. ENTRY: NVQ Level 1 or relevant previous experience plus successful interview and evidence of commitment at Level 1.
Adult Hairdressing
NVQ Level 2 An essential qualification for the trainee stylist, includes cutting, colouring, perming and customer care. ATTENDANCE: 2 years. ENTRY: Successful interview. Applicants must have relevant work experience.
Hairdressing
NVQ Level 3 Advanced styling and colouring techniques, with options to develop business skills. ATTENDANCE: 1 year. ENTRY: NVQ Level 2 or relevant previous experience plus successful interview and evidence of commitment at Level 2.
Beauty Therapy
NVQ Level 1 Basic salon skills, including manicure, facials and reception skills. ATTENDANCE: 1 year. ENTRY: 3 GCSEs at grade D or above and/or Level 1 in Salon Services (Hair and Beauty) plus successful interview and evidence of commitment in Year 11, where applicable.
Beauty Therapy
NVQ Level 2 Essential skills, including facials and skin care, make-up, manicures, pedicures, waxing, lash & brow treatments and customer services. ATTENDANCE: 1 year. ENTRY: NVQ Level 1 or relevant previous experience plus successful interview and evidence of commitment at Level 1.
NVQ Beauty (Body Massage) Level 3 Essential therapy skills, which include body massage, aromatherapy and Indian Head Massage. ATTENDANCE: TBC (1year). ENTRY: This course is aimed at the mature learner who must have achieved a level 2 standard of education and/or have appropriate and relevant work experience.
NVQ Level 3 Advanced therapy techniques including improving skin and body condition using electrical equipment, body massage, electrical epilation and body tanning. This course also covers developing financial effectiveness. ATTENDANCE: 1 year. ENTRY: NVQ Level 2 or previous relevant experience plus successful interview and evidence of commitment at Level 2.
Hairdressing
NVQ Level 2 Day Release Includes practical salon skills, cutting, colouring, perming and customer care. ATTENDANCE: One day per week (9.00am – 5.00pm) day release from a salon for 2 years. ENTRY: Students must have 3 GCSE grades D or above, have achieved a Level 1 standard of education and/or have appropriate and relevant work experience. All students must have a placement in a salon and would normally apply through our work-based learning team.
Hairdressing
NVQ Level 3 Day Release Includes advanced cutting, re-styling, colouring and colour correction techniques plus the opportunity to develop business skills. ATTENDANCE: One day per week day release for 1 year. ENTRY: Students must have achieved NVQ Level 2 hairdressing or the equivalent and/or have appropriate and relevant work experience. All students must have a placement in a salon and would normally apply through our work based learning team.
