Our staff are highly experienced, having qualified teacher status, literacy and numeracy qualifications and a wealth of experience working with students with moderate and severe learning difficulties.
In supporting students with learning difficulties we offer a wide curriculum, learning support assistants and specialised staff to help students achieve their individual learning plan, moving them towards independence, progress and, where appropriate, employment.
Skills for Working Life
BTEC Entry Certificate The certificate consists of a national qualification in: • Land-based (horticulture and small animal care) • Hospitality and Catering • Retail • Practical Skills (Construction and Motor Vehicle).
Entry Level Course –
City & Guilds Life Skills This qualification has been designed for students who have a range of learning difficulties that prevent them from developing the skills required for everyday life. The provision focuses on each student’s needs and is geared to everyday situations. Opportunities for work experience will be available where appropriate, and may be supervised, depending on the needs of the learner. ATTENDANCE: Full-time, three days per week, 9.00am to 4.30pm. ENTRY: Entry is by interview and assessment.
