Construction Industry Training with the Plumbing Mechanical Services
Levels 3 Trainees cover core units in topics such as safety and measurement plus specialist units for plumbing and gas. ATTENDANCE: 1 day per week for 18 months. ENTRY: 3 GCSEs grade D or above, or by interview for mature candidates. All NVQ candidates must have access to a relevant workplace. Level 2 required prior to starting Level 3.
Carpentry and Joinery
Pre-vocational Course This course does not result in a qualification, but enables you to gain the initial skills and knowledge in Carpentry and Joinery to enrol on a Level 2 course. ATTENDANCE: Thursday, 6.00 – 9.15pm, 7 weeks. ENTRY: Interest in the subject.
Carpentry and Joinery
Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery Level 2 Craft training for learners who do not have access to a relevant workplace. Learners cover core units in topics such as safety, plus specialist units for bench joinery or site carpentry. This course does offer CSCS accreditation as a trainee worker. ATTENDANCE: 2 evenings per week for a 2 year period. ENTRY: Entry for daytime attendance is by interview. Entry to the evening course is through achievement of a prevocational course.
Glass Processing (Double Glazing)
NVQ Level 2 Glass Processors work within a range of roles nationwide, completing tasks within a range of situations ranging from new build work through to renovation projects. This work is predominately factory based so does not currently have the same CSCS restrictions found within other areas of the industry. ATTENDANCE: Assessment will be in the workplace. ENTRY: Candidates must be employed in a suitable role in the industry.
