Catering Sector Training with the Award in Barista Skills (7120)


City & Guilds Level 2 A qualification for anyone wanting to make good coffee and gain employment in the numerous establishments now using Italian espresso machines. ATTENDANCE: 20 hours including final assessment and exam. Courses may be delivered in the work place or in the Boston College Outreach Centres dependent on numbers. ENTRY: An interest in coffee making and the role of the Barista.


Barista Plus If you want to gain employment in a coffee bar, café, hotel or restaurant give yourself a head start with Boston College’s Barista Plus course. Learn all you need to make that first application! Barista skills, food hygiene, and customer service qualifications in just 40 hours! • City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Barista Skills (7102). Learn how to operate an espresso machine safely, how to keep it in good working order and create the best beverage experience for your customers (20 hours). • City & Guilds Level 2 in Travel and Tourism (Meet & Greet Services 4872-22). Learn how to make each customer feel welcome with our introduction to customer service (10 hours) • CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering. Learn how to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in your workplace (10 hours).
