Whether you get fired up by the idea of running your own business, climbing the corporate ladder, or going on to University, Boston College can support you with one of our business courses. Business skills are essential to a variety of careers, and can give you the edge when job hunting or applying to University.

Practical skills are developed through exploration of real-life business situations and underpinned with theoretical knowledge. Whether you plan to update your existing skills or learn something completely new, these courses can help you to maximise your personal and employment potential. Students find that it’s not only their business knowledge that grows while at Boston College; trips, activities and group projects also help to build your personal development which is equally as important.

Rahul Keshwara

Kesh really wanted to go to College to study Business after he had finished his GCSE’s, but due to an illness he was advised to take a 2 year break.

“Having a 2 year break made me quite wary about coming back to college, with being the oldest and having an illness, but it couldn’t have gone any better”.

Having always wanted to study Business, Kesh enrolled on the course with the aim to go to university. “The course has enabled me to get a place at Nottingham University where I shall study Business Management and Marketing. I believe the course has stood me in good stead for the degree as we had to study a variety of elements including Finance, HR and Marketing”.

Kesh emphasised on the difference between school and college. “We are pretty much left to our own devices which is nice; we have to do our own research and be creative whereas at school I feel you are always spoon fed. The tutors are there to help you when you need them, and guide you in the right direction”.
