Motor Vehicle –


Pre-Vocational This course enables you to gain the initial skills and knowledge in vehicle maintenance and repair to enrol on a Level 2 course. ATTENDANCE: 1 evening per week for 7 weeks. ENTRY: No formal entry requirements.


Electrical Installation –


Pre-Vocational This short course enables you to gain the initial skills and knowledge in Electrical installation to progress onto a level 2 evening course, following a successful end of unit exam and aptitude exam. ATTENDANCE: 1 evening per week for 7 weeks. ENTRY: No formal entry requirements.


Vehicle Maintenance and Repair


(Level 2) A college-based qualification for those who wish to develop the knowledge and skills required in the maintenance and repair of light vehicles who are not currently employed within the automotive industry. ATTENDANCE: 2 evenings per week for 2 years. ENTRY: Direct entry requires a minimum of 4 grade Ds at GCSE to include Maths and English, a successful interview and aptitude test. Students may also progress to this course following the successful completion of a relevant Level 1 Motor Vehicle qualification and a good tutor reference.


Electrical Installation


(Level 2) A qualification for those who wish to gain the underpinning knowledge and practical skills to become an Electrician or for those working in a related field who wish to become multi-skilled. ATTENDANCE: 2 evenings per week for 2 years. ENTRY: Successful completion of the Pre- Vocational qualification. Appropriate employment/ experience is also required.


Electrical Installation


(Level 3) A qualification for those who wish to gain the underpinning knowledge and practical skills to become an approved Electrician or for those working in a related field who wish to become multi-skilled. ATTENDANCE: 2 evenings per week for 1 year. ENTRY: Successful completion of the Level 2 Electrical Installation qualification course.

Certificate in Computer Aided Design 2D (Level 2)


CGLI 4353 CAD The Level 2 certificate covers the principles and practices of 2D computer aided design. This course is suitable for those who wish to develop the skills and knowledge to use CAD software packages. ATTENDANCE: 1 evening per week for 1 year. ENTRY: An interest in CAD or to be working in the Mechanical, Architectural, Electronic and Electrical fields on a CAD system.
