If you are looking to progress on to Higher Education or University, taking an A Level or BTEC course at Boston College will help you to achieve the grades you need to get there. If however you feel you haven’t gained the grades to progress on to a further education course and are looking to improve your GCSE grades, we have various GCSE classes that can help you gain that next step position.

Our latest results show that Boston College has success rates significantly above national averages in many subjects including Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Statistics, English Language, English Literature and Film.

Whichever route you decide to take you will gain a range of useful skills for Higher Education or employment.

Shona Munden

Shona went to the Aveland High School in Billingborough and when the time came round to decide what she was to do next she had no worries.

“I didn’t want to go to Sixth Form because I wanted a change in environment, a half way point between School and University”.

Shona came to the College to study AS Levels in Psychology, English Language, Sociology and Media, and has followed all four subjects through to the second year to complete her A Levels.

“I made the right decision to come to college. The tutors have been really helpful, if you ever have a problem there is always someone you could speak to and it is dealt with promptly. The facilities are brilliant, we have access to computers and the library provides a great service”.

With aspirations to go into teaching, Shona plans to go to university in September to study Psycho-Social Study. “The support at the College has given me the confidence and the ability to be able to go to university. I am now waiting on my grades to see where I am going to, which is exciting”.
