Skegness Academy is now in its third year

of operation. The Academy is a three way
partnership between Boston College, The
Grimsby Institute and Skegness College of
Vocational Training.
The Academy was designed to service the need for
a Further Education College on the east coast and to
offer courses to meet the local demand and needs
of the community.
Being centrally based and having a wide range of
courses, The Academy is easy to access and offers
something for everyone. Our successful course offer Abigail and Michelle are both
consists of:
enrolled on Literacy & Numeracy and
have completed Level 1 and have

now progressed onto Level 2. They both
• Health & Social Care
want to take up Nursing as a new career

path, but as they both have young families
• Literacy & Numeracy
• ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
they have been out of learning for the past
• Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
5 years and were nervous about returning.
