Class notes – Fulton third-graders went on their annual pilgrimage to Bisbee, riding down to the Copper Queen Mine in Bisbee and enjoying a
hands-on tour into the Copper Queen Mine. The tour, given by a former miner, took students one mile into the mine and explored the history of mining.
Kartchner Caverns was the second spot on the tour. Students went into the caverns and explored the hidden treasures of Arizona’s living geology.
Ropers – After reading “Born to Rope,” a story about Anthony Reynoso in the 2nd Harcourt Anthology, students were surprised by a visit from
Reynoso himself. Reynoso, of Tempe, and his father, Anthony Sr., performed their roping show, showed the students rope tricks, told a few stories,
let the kids try some tricks, answered
questions and signed books. Fulton
