ensemble includes three horns and four
rhythm instruments along with female
vocals that stir the soul. Tr umpet player
and director Don Edwards has an im-
pressive and extensive career. A master
of timing and showmanship, Edwards
operates his band like a “well-oiled
machine,” stretching his players beyond
their normal limits.
Each performance of the Southern Fried Jazz Band evolves into an experience
to be remembered long after they have left the stage. Th e evening includes a
tasty recipe of instrumentals accented with vocals and stirred with lots
