The herd was graded up during the mid 1980’s, with new families
and a prosperous
bought in during the 1990’s. David says the
turning point for the herd was the use of bulls such as Astre, Charles and
New Year
Skychief onto bloodlines such as Warden also during the 1990’s. Today’s
dominant families include the Mahala, Dellia, Marq I, Celeste, Lustre and
Ivory Mark’s. The Wormanby herd was this years Champion Herd repre-
senting Border and Lakeland in the Premier Pedigree Herds Competition.
