Premiere Golden Nugget, who was from an EX Tara Hills
Fond Ivanhoe daughter. She scored Good Plus, as did her
sole daughter at Aintree, the Flemingdale Roland daughter
who was scored as a heifer before being sold in a batch of
fresh heifers and was never rescored. Aintree Roland Nugget
was bred to Aintree Sebastian (a bull from one of the other
prominent families, the Satin’s) and produced the EX90 Aintree
Sebastian Nugget. Sebastian Nugget bred phenomenally
well and was also a show winner on the North Wales circuit,
securing herd competition family group wins along the way.
She bred four EX daughters by Aerostar, Dombinator, Storm
and Victor, as well as VG Lincoln and Integrity females.
With 51 Nuggets in the milking herd by 31 different sires,
and all bar two of the cows EX or VG, the family’s consistency
is unquestionable, as is Richards’s statement that they don’t
miss. Bulls from the family have also left their mark on the
herd. Aintree Norman was a Storm son from the VG89 Factor
Nugget Red and there are still four milking daughters from
him in the herd. Aintree Notion (Stormatic x Lentini Nugget

Sebastian Nugget) was used for 12 months before being sold
to Ireland, but he has 10 milking daughters. Aintree Norris
was also used before selling to Ireland and is a Stormatic son
from the EX93-2E Addison followed by the EX91-2E Aeroline.
Another Nugget bull has been returned to active service with
Genus ABS, the Outside son from an EX91-3E Mtoto which
again traces to the Victor Nugget. Around 20 to 25 bulls are
sold from Aintree every year, mainly from the Nuggets and
