ARC OF GREATER PITTSBURGH/ARC OF

The Arc of Greater Pittsburgh is working in
Allegheny and Beaver Counties to advocate
for the rights and full community participa-
tion for children and adults with intellec-
tual disabilities. The Arc of Westmoreland
is committed to a “People First” approach,
which offers those with intellectual and de-
velopmental disabilities and their families
the supports, services and opportunities
necessary to have freedom, choice and
control in their lives.
ACHIEVA EARLY INTERVENTION
PROGRAM (BOOTH 66)
ACHIEVA is well-known as a leader in
services for children with developmental
delays, including speech and physical
therapy, developmental therapy, occupa-
tional therapy, vision and hearing supports,
and nutritional supports. Thanks to a
generous gift from the Carl M. Ludwig fam-
ily, ACHIEVA offers a preschool readiness
program, which helps 2 and 3 year olds with
cognitive delays prepare for the preschool
setting through skills development and
social interaction. The program also gives
parents and caregivers support and training
through group work and interactive educa-
tional experiences.
ACHIEVA RESIDENTIAL SUPPORTS
(BOOTH 67)
ACHIEVA provides many residential living
options for adults with intellectual disabili-
ties, such as residential homes, life sharing
arrangements and in-home support.
ACHIEVA also offers young adult transition-
al living programs to help these individuals
