EAT THIS
KANSAS CITY BBQ - 600 W Harbor Dr.
In 1986, the world was introduced to Tom Cruise’s “Great Balls of Fire” in Top
Gun’s locker room scenes…and then Kelly McGillis’ “danger zone” throughout
the rest of the film, but the real action that “took our breath away” was much
closer and more inviting than some damp locker room on-base. Having survived
a devastating fire in 2008, Kansas City Barbecue is now doing better than ever
and still serves some of the most delectable “messy food” this side of Lindbergh
Field. Lunch Hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and dinner hours stretch from
5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. With a pleasantly simple menu, it’s clear that the manage-
ment places quality well over quantity when it comes to food. But if you simply
MUST relive an ‘80s movie scene or two, bar hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Kansas City Barbecue is located at 600 W Harbor Dr. Visit kcbbq.net for printable
