Polypipe Building Products has launched a unique
addition to its simple to install Overlay™ low profile
system that itself revolutionised installation of un-
derfloor heating systems in renovation projects. New
Overlay™ Lite is a high compressive strength light-
weight, insulated panel ideal for retro-fit installation
where lightweight floorcoverings, such as laminates,
carpet and engineered woods, are to be used. This
complements the original system, which is ideal for
use with heavyweight floorcoverings such as ceram-
ics and solid wood floor coverings.While both
Overlay ™ and Overlay ™ Lite are suitable for most
underfloor heating installation projects, builders and
heating installers are advised to consider Overlay ™
Lite as their first choice wherever possible, as it is
the quickest and easiest to install and handle, there-
fore the most economical option in terms installa-
tion time and money. Additional features of the new
range include ease of cutting and jointing, making
the Overlay Lite system more suitable for use in
larger areas and multiple room applications.
