comes in three models, which include a 4.5
kW system designed for small flats, 9kW and
12kW for larger properties, giving a complete
spectrum of choice for the domestic market.
The 9kW and 12kW versions can be banked
together, with bespoke designs available for
light commercial applications. To optimise ef-
ficiency, all units have dual temperature oper-
ation. Larger units incorporate twin scroll
compressors to further maximise efficiency.
Despite the fact that the Airgen operates
from as low as -15°C, with functionality in-
cluding a heated drip tray and four minute
frost cycle enhancing its capabilities, as with
all air source heat pumps, efficiency is com-
promised when the temperature drops.

Time to
comply
The facilities management firm, Beacons Business
Interiors (Bbi) has sent out a warning to UK busi-
nesses that they have only six months left to pre-
pare for government legislation on reducing its
carbon emissions. Significant fines will be ordered
if facilites managers fail to comply with the new
legislation surrounding air conditioning units. Bbi
has sent a warning out to businesses about failing
to update their old format air conditioning sys-
tems, which use ozone-depleting gas HCFC R22.
