up Clear Access Solutions

lear Access Solutions is a flexible service aimed at the high
level window cleaning industry, enabling cleaners to tackle
sections of buildings that are difficult to access,” explains Colin
Brookes, Clear’s MD.“We already have good relationships with many
leading companies and we plan to build on this in the future. We have
big plans for the development of Clear Access Solutions.”
Clear’s new service focuses on reliability, flexibility and cost, with
adjustable hire rates that provide a call back facility. This means that,
in the event of bad weather or other factors that fall outside normal
hire specification, clients are covered for a return visit without
incurring extra expense.
Equipment available through Clear includes a range of mobile and
track-mounted devices, including 34M machines and scissor lifts. Only
fully-trained IPAF operators are used on site, and there are statutory
LOLER controls in place to ensure the hirer has no unnecessary legal
liabilities. Clear Access Solutions hire contracts range from a one hour hiring

No seven year itch for safety

been accredited for the seventh year in a
row by Safe Contractor

V Price takes safety seriously, and has once again been
accredited under National Britannia’s Safe Contractor
Scheme.
The company says it has been a great year for safety. Working with
the Impact43 Group, and in conjunction with South Thames and
Merton College, all J V Price window cleaners have now achieved
their qualifications in High Level Window Cleaning (City and Guilds
NVQ Level 2).
What’s more, Impact43 has delivered Working at Height Awareness
Training to all staff to reinforce awareness of the hazards specific to
the industry. J V Price cleaners are now ISO 9001 certificated, and
working towards ISO 14001. They have also subscribed to many of
the BWCA (British Window Cleaning Academy) courses.
Management is also aware of the need to upgrade skills, and two J
V Price managers are currently enrolled on a NEBOSH qualification
course.
To further safety awareness, J V Price is currently looking at the
Clean Safe Partnerships Hazard3 CMO Compliance Risk Management
Software.
The new software package automates risk assessment and
management processes.
