Melbourne is the creative centre of Australia. Admired
as the knowledge, technology and innovation capital,
it is celebrated for its cultural diversity. The second
largest city in Australia, Melbourne is the capital
city of Victoria with a population of approximately
3.4 million people. Melbourne boasts a strong and
growing economy, efficient infrastructure and status
as a global city. With an economy larger than each
of Singapore, the Philippines and New Zealand, the
State of Victoria manages close to 25 per cent of the
Australian economy.
Victoria is located in the south-east corner of
