How’s Appa and our little rascal? Trust everyone is well.

Wish I was there with all of you. Amma, please find a cheque for Five Hundred
Ringgit. It’s payable to your name as usual, so you can bank it into your account.
It should clear within two to three days after you bank it.

I will also be sending you another five hundred within the next couple of weeks
once one of my deals goes through.

Don’t worry Amma, I will take care of your needs. I don’t want Appa working too
hard. I’m quite worried. The last time I spoke to him when I telephoned, Appa
sounded weak. Is he not taking his medication regularly?

What did the doctor say after the last check up?

I wish I was there and could take some leave from my work here in the city but
it’s getting tougher to do so. In fact, I don’t think I can even make it for Deepavali.

I know everyone will be disappointed but I’m afraid it’s out of my control. Amma,
please apologise to Appa for me. I will telephone soon but I need to take care of
a few things over here.

How’s Muthu? Haven’t heard from that little rascal since I gave him the book I
bought. Hope he likes it and is actually reading it. Hope his English is also
improving! And what’s this I heard about him having a girlfriend? She’s Chinese?
Little rascal! Quite the romeo too!

I’m betting that Appa doesn’t know anything about this because if he did, it will be
a war zone and Muthu would have been kicked out of the house. Well, maybe for
an hour or two at least!

Amma, it’s not that she’s not Indian or Hindu.

He’s just too young to be thinking about all this at his age.

I mean, I’ve been working since I was seventeen and even after 10 years, I’ve
yet to settle down!
