Many horses perform successfully on Equi-Librium
horseshoes, which were developed using the results of
scientific research, in cooperation with the opinions of
an international group of farriers. Equi-Librium features a
broad toe which is rounded in two directions: forwards and sideways to facilitate
breakover. The shoe has a perfect balance, and as the size increases, all dimensions
increase as well. This means that smaller hooves, often associated with lighter
horses, are given a thinner, narrower and less coarse horseshoe. Equi-Librium is
supplied without clips and with side clips (placed between the first and the second
nail holes), and recently, a variant has been introduced with a toe clip. The nail

holes and the model make Equi-Librium ideal to be nailed using the Mustad EXL
horseshoe nail. This is an extra long, strong and thin nail that ensures optimal
fixing and minimal damage to the hoof wall, meaning that the farrier can nail
easily, reliably and at a good height.
