She has advanced the novice horse and rider as well as polishing
the more advanced equestrian to world and national class
status. She is a Master Clinician for the Horsemanship Safety Asso-
ciation offering 4 day instructor certification programs as well
as being an instructor for the American Red Cross. West was one of
several trainers selected to go to Australia and work with the wild
brumbies in developing a program to save these horses from mass
slaughter. She also spent several months in California gentling a
group of about 40 mustangs to start them on their journey to adopt-
ablity. She has been a presenter at the Wild Horse and Burro Expo
in Reno, Nevada, Jacksonville Equestrian Celebration and other
various mustang groups around the country. West currently owns
several mustangs but works with all breeds of horses. At her facility
in Alabama, she currently has a Clydesdale/TB cross, a Norwegian
Fjord, several spotted saddle horses and a mustang in training. Her
goal as an equestrian instructor is to develop and/or enhance the re-
lationship between horses and their humans with a hugh emphasis
