idle speed was wrong, the coil was wired back to front (!!) after-
wards, it was much, much easier to start and drive. Just to say
again, Ray thank you so much!
So fast forward another month. The list of jobs to do is slowly get-
ting smaller, I still need to knock the worst of the dents out, and
repaint him. I still need to replace a smashed passenger wind-
screen, and at some point I have plans to fit a towbar to allow ex-
ploration with my sailing dinghy.
What has Land Rover ownership taught me so far?
There is no such thing as a finished Land Rover
All Land Rover owners are really nice people!
Driving at 45-50mph is relaxing and will get you there….. eventu-
ally
Supermarket car-parks and LWBs Landy’s shouldn’t mix when Asda is busy
Overall, despite all the mechanic issues, and expense (groan!) I’m very glad I took the plunge to buy a
Land Rover. Here’s to Solihull!
Thanks to all those who have offered me advice, come and helped, and even just listened to my panic!
I have now equipped myself with tools, rolled up my sleeves and am doing what Landy’s are best at,
driving around enjoying myself.
