Watch Winterhawks
On-Ice Excitement
M
AC members have a special oppor-
tunity to see the Winterhawks up
close and personal Saturday, Nov. 7 when
the team hosts the Seattle Thunderbirds
at the Rose Garden. The evening includes
pre-game passes, group tickets, a meet-
and-greet with the players, and a slapshot
competition on the ice during the fi rst
intermission of the game.
The fi rst 40 youngsters that sign up are
invited to go on the ice and
show off their puck-
shooting skills in
front of 10,000
people. They
also are invited
to a chalk
talk by the
Winterhawks
coaching staff.
This is just for MAC
members.
This night is also Dash For Cash night;
$10,000 in silver dollars are placed in the
middle of the rink, and contestants have
one minute to scoop up as many as they
can. Contestants keep what they grab
(on average $400 to $500); the remaining
amount is given to charity. Depending on
the number of signups for this exclusive
event, the Winterhawks can secure spots
in Dash For Cash for MAC members and
allow members on the ice during player
introductions. Contestants may also enter
at Fred Meyer locations, at winterhawks.
com and at the arena the night of the game.
The group ticket includes everything
needed for a fantastic night out: reserved
ticket, game program, meal deal (hot dog,
soda and popcorn) and a limited edition
hat. There are three price levels: $26 per
person in level 100, $22 for 200 level, and
$19 for family zone.
The Winterhawks play half their
games in the Rose Garden, which gives
the entertainment experience of a major
league venue at an affordable price point.
Portland Winterhawks are celebrating 33
years in Portland this season and are one
of the premier franchises in the Western
Hockey League.
