Director’s Statement
The plot is merely an example to dramatize
a theme about the necessity we all
experience at one time or another in our
lives for help. It also serves to illustrate an
equally important reality about how the
lack of help in a person’s life, can in turn
make the person deny help to another as well in the future.
In writing acting and directing this piece it was very important
for me to not cast judgement on the characters’ choices to help
one another or not. I saw them as victims of an age old cycle
rather than protagonists and antagonists. Assistance which
would not be much more than an inconvenience to the person
capable of giving it.
