Religious Education News
Asking students to put themselves in the mind of an
endangered animal is just one of the innovative and
creative ways religious education is being taught at
Q3 Academy. The Council of Creatures is designed to
teach empathy and even got Year 7 in the local paper!
Debates about religion in the media were the focus
for Year 8 who looked at the subject in films, soaps,
documentaries and newspapers.
Both Year 9 and 10 students were inspired by a visit
to Lichfield Cathedral to take part in a course called
“Looking for God”.
Year 11 students have been studying Fair Trade and
have been working to make Q3 a Fair Trade Academy,
while Years 12 and 13 have been focusing on
Philosophy and Ethics.

Young Achievers Event.
The company council has come up with
some innovation ideas this year. Social
Design Day included all the staff dressing
up as historical figures.
