hundred Harley-Davidson enthusiasts coming to
town. The town was now ready and as a Harley-
Davidson dealer we had to throw a party of course
for our fellow riders! The event called The St. Joe
H-D “Ho-Down” like a feast back in time of the old
West with the old wagon, fire pit, hay bales for
seating and a huge tent just in case. When time for
the party the weather was perfect as ordered and
the atmosphere was as on the Western prairie
back in time. During the party some special guests
“Willie G. & Nancy Davidson” showed up to say
hello and prepare to ride as well. This had been
kept a secret from all the media until then and was
that a hit with the riders! Now they can say they
rode the Pony Express Ride with Willie and Nancy
Davidson!”
“We have spoken with many fellow merchants
in St. Joe that have all commented on how the
Harley riders were so humble and some of the
nicest people they have ever met,” Clay contin-
ued. “On the other hand the riders from all over
the country said the exact same thing about St. Joe
people! Way to GO St. Joe!”
“In closing, this professional and fluid type of
organization couldn’t have been possible without
all the help from our local customers that gave
their 100% in efforts to help out with anything and
everything that had to be done from registration to
directing traffic at the dealership. Most all of these
people did this as a donation of their time to lend
a hand. They know how important it was to take
care of our fellow riders and how they would like
to have been treated if it was them out of town
away from home on a similar event.
We take our hats off to all the local people that
came out to the St. Joe Harley dealership to do-
nate their own time to help, and make this whole
national event very successful and fun for all!
