Demo Days at Gail’s
Harley-Davidson
By Cindi Williams
The 2010’s are here! Other than
Sturgis, Gail’s Harley-Davidson in
Grandview, Missouri is the first dealer-
ship in the country to get the 2010
Harley-Davidson Demo Fleet. Hun-
dreds of people came to Gail’s August
7th & 8th itching to be one of the first in
the country to ride a 2010! There were
people who rode in from hundreds of
miles away just for Demo Days. The
Demo truck was packed with 12 select
2010 models to let any motorcycle
qualified rider have their pick.
Part of the 12 bikes were the brand
new models introduced this year in-
cluding: Fat Boy Lo, CVO Softail Con-
vertible, CVO Fat Bob, Dyna Wide Glide,
Road Glide Custom, Electra Glide Ultra
Limited, CVO Street Glide, and the CVO
Ultra Classic Electra Glide. Talk about
gorgeous machines! There was every-
thing you could want in a Demo Fleet
and more.
Out in the parking lot, there were
plenty of grilled hotdogs and chips to go
around while the band Albert Flasher
rocked the afternoon away. The com-
bination of great Classic Rock, food, and
Motorcycles proved to make an amaz-
ing day!
The American Heartland H.O.G. vol-
unteers did an amazing job of signing
up all the demo riders, briefing the
groups before they left, and leading the
demo rides. Even though it was a
scorcher with temperatures reaching
close to 100 degrees, the H.O.G. mem-
bers were there to make sure things ran
smoothly and help any demo riders.
If you missed the 2010 Demo Fleet,
it’s not too late to check out the new
Harley models! Head on down to Gail’s
Harley-Davidson and ask about a
demo ride! Just tell them Wide Open
Motorcycle Magazine sent you!
