An exciting new card publisher
is launching at Top Drawer this
autumn with fi ve new ranges.
Run by artist, Jane Tonkin, Shine
Publishing is set to make a big
impact at this September’s show.
Jane specialises in printmaking
and has used original artworks
as the inspiration for all her
ranges. One range, which uses old
wooden letterpress blocks, called ‘Words are all I have’ is the result of a long-held
ambition to do a body of word, just using words.
Jane explains: “I have frequently used text in my work in the past and am inspired
by poetry, song lyrics and phrases. I’m really pleased with the way this range has
.co.uk evolved. It looks really strong and is different from anything else that I’ve seen out
there.”
Other ranges include ‘Spring Tree’, which features bold fl ower and tree imagery in
close up, with contrasting patterned trims; ‘Pattern of my Heart’, an innovative and
artistic Valentines range based on original etchings; ‘A fi ne line’, an elegant range
which uses line and contrasting shapes to create huge impact and ‘Rhapsody’, a
