environmental sensitivity.
STAFF WRITER – Special to The GTA Construction Report
Moriyama & Teshima Architects are designing the first LEED plat-
inum building for Lakehead University’s new Orillia campus. Half-
way around the world, other M&T architects and planners are
co-ordinating the master plan design for the 30,000-student, 540ha
new University of Kuwait, even as they work on the master plan for a
120km stretch of the Wadi Hanifah rivers system in Saudi Arabia.
These projects, and others ranging from the Ontario Science Cen-
tre in Toronto, the National War Museum in Ottawa, and the new Wa-
terloo Regional History Museum in Kitchener, Ontario, all share
Moriyama & Teshima’s focus and passion for educational and cultural
spaces.
