short story:
POEM:
The view from the tree The Smush
by Lauren Birkelo by Cooper Townley
Hull Elementary, Grade 3 Santan Elementary, Grade 1
The view from the tree
Is the way you should see.
You can hear the birds cheer
And with the view it provides
You can see far and wide.
The gorgeous green leaves
Rustle in the breeze.
Bugs crawl on the branches
Doing their little dances.
And as I look up the towering tree
From the branch I am sitting on
I see the sun in the horizon
And I feel my mind rising.
The world’s at its most
Because the view from the tree
Is the view you should see.
