BALLOON MAKES
SURPRISE LANDING
A family in Abbots Langley received an
unexpected surprise when a hot air balloon
almost landed in their back garden.
At around 8pm on Sunday, June 21, Richard
Dunn, of De Havilland Way, Abbots Langley,
was washing up in his kitchen when he shouted
to his wife, Sasha, to come and see what was
going on in the garden.
Watching TV with the rest of the family in the
living room, Sasha initially expected to be
greeted by her cats playing around, but was
welcomed by a loud flame sound, and then saw a
huge hot air balloon almost hit her pergola.
She said: ―At first I was scared, but then Fortunately for Richard and Sasha, the balloon
excitement took over as its something you would landed in the field at the back of their garden,
