That unparalleled commitment to service is
the real reason customers return to Custom-
edica. “It’s just not something a chain can pro-
vide,” Stott says. “We know all our patients by
name, and when you come in, your prescrip-
tion is ready. The customer truly comes first
here.”

Customedica also makes topical analgesic
creams to treat painful conditions like periph-
eral neuropathy. Patients can avoid the side
effects of an oral pain and anti-inflammatory
medication by using the cream to treat their
symptoms. Podiatrists and orthopedists often
refer patients to the pharmacy. Technicians
can also custom flavor medication for finicky
children or pets.
Popular dietary supplements include Nor-
dic Berries, pectin based gummy berry vita-
mins that cost $22.00 for 120. Nordic Naturals
fish oil supplements are made of the highest
quality fish oils, batch tested to ensure that
they don’t contain dangerous carcinogens,
and cost $50.00 for 120 soft gel tablets. Cus-
tomedica has put their own label on Douglas
Labs daily multi-vitamins, which received a
5 out of 5 rating for quality—one of the few
multivitamins with that designation available
in the Treasure Valley. The pharmacy also car-
ries Thorne Vitamin D supplements, produced
locally in Idaho. “People don’t get enough sun-
light here to make the Vitamin D they need,”
says Stott.
